Bidii yetu is a social campaign presented in a short film that celebrates the resilient Kenyan spirit in the wake of the millions affected by COVID-19 crisis. Kenyans lost lives and income as the Coronavirus disease spread, forcing radical measures to safeguard both lives and livelihoods.

The Bidii Yetu film highlights how ordinary hard-working Kenyans take measures around their work and community interaction to ensure that they are safe, while anticipating an incredible rebound in the coming days. Kenyans are able to do this due to their unwavering courage and enterprise.

Michael is a film make and the incredible visionary behind the “Bidii Yetu” project with footage captured from around the country.
Assisted by his incredible team at the WhiteRhino Films, he was able to create an emotionally captivating story by capturing incredible individuals who look smilingly simple and modest but capture the very essence of the Kenyan spirit in the incredible things they are able to do

Brian Okoth

Music Composer

Brian Okoth is a music composer whose work has been seen both on stage and film for his business Modo Music & Media.
Brian’s task was to capture the spirit of that ordinary Kenyan in a musical performance that would warp and weft the striking images. His choice of a simple piano overlaying a powerful symphony captures the essence of the Kenyan, whose simple efforts often has far reaching impact, due mostly to unbridled passion.

James Kabue

James effortlessly but powerfully tells story of the ordinary Kenyan in an ordinary way, but with incredible power!
James’ Baritone can be heard on stage as he takes up his role as thespian, or in fills such as these that present not just his rich and engaging voice but also his unmistakable character that is evidence as he ebbs and flows over the emotional disposition that the Kenyan spirit presents in this piece.
